Another Festival is done, gone, and getting ready for "07". Great weather except Saturday nite late a pretty good wind and rain came in and Sunday was very cool. In Winfield this festival is as defining in the year as the 4th, Thanksgiving, etc. The statements used "are you grassing this year", "ya gone down yet", "got you site yet". Two weeks before there is already 3-5000 people and RV's here, and it seems to get earlier every year. Remember there are four official stages going from 9:00 a.m. to midnight and 4 more unofficial stages(allowing campground bands to perform) going longer, and then all the campsite pickin--It's another world and one where you can forget the insane that aren't there. You'll not hear or see it all. ;-)
This year I wanted to show the individuals and some of the campsite signs, more so than the normal overview. If you look closely you will notice that there is every age and lifestyles represented. It truly is a great mixing of children, youth, young adult, mid-age, elderly, farmer, baker, and the CEO's.
For the photgraphers out there I batched these and got a chance to use my new D-200, along with my D70s. Granted some of the colors, levels, etc. could be better but I need to be able to get up from the keyboard once in awhile.
