I'm a photographer in my retirement, going on pilgrimage starting 4/15/19, and I love your images. I'm also curious as to why you use such a fast shutter speed in photos where there doesn't seem to be movement. outside, I'm assuming it's to cut the light on bright sunny days, but I'm not sure about the inside shots. I have a Canon 70D and mostly use one of 2 lenses: 18-200 f/3.5-5.6 and a 70-200 f/4, w/ an extension tube if I want to get closer. I also have a 24-105 f/4 & a macro 1:2.8 lens, but obviously don't want to lug all this around, though I'm thinking of bringing my carbon fiber tripod. I don't know if you're in the business of giving photography tips, but I'd love it if you have some to share for shooting while I'm on pilgrimage.
