Horrible weather we're having... I had to use the headlights it was so dark driving home from the station this evening and it was barely after 6 o'clock ! It's supposed to be midsummer for heaven's sake !!!

And there's nothing I hate more in this damp climate than all the slugs and snails that suddenly take over everywhere - where DO they all come from ??? This one was doing his impression of Houdini three floors up on our roof terrace...
