We settled into our rural gite for a week - a converted barn in the tiny village of La Rochette, near the medieval town of Billom in the Puy de Dome. Well... when I say village, it consisted of a farm and 5 houses - nothing else ! We wanted isolation, peace & quiet... and we got it all right !
