We visited Chartwell today - the home of Sir Winston Churchill. We have lived barely 5 miles from here for the last 24 years, and would you believe we've never been before ? Mind you, there are more stately homes and castles in this part of Kent than anywhere else in the UK. There are some lovely gardens around the house and in the kitchen garden we spotted this magnificent dahlia.
