My sister and niece came down to see us for the weekend. Their car broke down 3 miles before they arrived so we had to go out and rescue them. The fault appears to be fatal, so after staying overnight, we dropped them back at the garage where they'd left the car to await the tow truck which would take them home. In the meantime however, we had a nice day out yesterday - starting with Hever Castle where I took this photo. Unfortunately the blue skies didn't last long and the promised heavy rain arrived. We left and drove around the coutryside for a while, then stopped at a local nature reserve - by which time the rain had stopped of course !
