Protest

6-shot panorama of the anti-war protest on Parliament Square, opposite the entrance to the House of Commons.

To get a clear picture of all the banners I had to work out the traffic light sequence first and then shoot in the gaps !

It took three attempts to get it right - including an unexpected delay when my batteries suddenly ran out and I had to go across the road and buy some new AAs.
(grrgh - why on earth didn't Canon put a better low battery warning in the A80 ??!)

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Fantastic to see all this here - thanks. Shame it's all been removed now.

A good subject but I feel let down by the lack of a tripod... or at least something that would have kept the road level (as I'm sure your aware)

I carry one of those 4 inch things, they are really small tripods things for about £5... they fit in a pocket and they have bendy legs. Then either put it on the floor or on a fence/bollard.

There is no one maker, there's various types from differnet companies. The screw thread is just a thread on 3 bendy legs... My recomendation for these street shots when carrying a tripod is too much effort.

Congratulations. It looks like the waiting paid off.
