The sun sets tonight on a nightmare weekend so far. Last night's leaky dishwasher saga has turned out to be much worse than we first thought...

Soon after I posted my PAD last night, water was running down the walls of the bedroom underneath the kitchen. We had to punch holes in the bedroom ceiling to relieve the weight of water threatening to bring the whole ceiling down - filling two buckets of dirty water. We were up till midnight clearing up as best we could, and then we had to wash up 3 days worth of dirty dishes which had been in the dishwasher.

Today the kitchen and bedroom stink of damp. Half of the brand new kitchen floor, which was put down less than a fortnight ago, is ruined and will have to be replaced. We are still trying to dry out the mattress, but that may be ruined too. Today we've been out and bought a new dishwasher.

I think someone is having a joke at my expense... last year's pic was entitled [ luck ] !!!
