Another angle of the slums. They have no sewerage system. What comes out goes into the river... The houses here don't last really long. This one just got abandoned Another pic of the slums. Your's or mine?
Despite the dismal surroundings, their children are happy In the homes of one of the children. That area is the sleeping, dining and entertaining area.Just raised wooden planks... The kids are really adorable. Makes you like want to give them all your money! Another child at play. Probably too poor to attend school...

Time for reflection. This boat woman, barely 20, takes time to think while waiting for the river gates to open This sleepy man was rummaging for cardboard outside my hotel. This beggar was positioned outside a church My mouth waters whenever I pass these... I was ill so I had to resist. But I kept looking at the pic as what might have been...
Keeping the peace and Bangkok's snarling traffic in order. Their new skytrains. It's a paradox really. Everything up here is so peaceful and quiet while below... CHAOS reigns! From the back seat of a public bus on the way to the ZOO! You can tell I was in a traffic jam... NO CAMERA SHAKE! One sad chimp biding his time...
Beautiful Spider monkeys (?!) Had the chain-linked fence blurred out. They looked really depressed. There were more of this than there were animals at the zoo. Really. This was at the crow exhibit... This hippo was trying to eat this little girl who stood up and leaned over the railing just beside me. Sheesh! Try my food? Please?

Some dilapidated buildings at the temple Same dilapidated building in sepia and in landscape The lotus is actually a water lily. Really. Checked it up in Brittanica Hibiscus at the temple gates
The lotus will bloom Tuk Tuk that tuk us around town... Want to try my worms? You wouldn't believe what they sell! Most Thais eat at stalls like these. They'd have a few tables and stools laid out nearby.

:) Did you have to take some boat ride which cost you like an arm and a leg?? I thought the animals there looked sad. The mangrove vipers I saw had like bruised snouts and one of them looked like it had some fungal growth on its head.

I like the pictures! I think have been to the place where u took the pictures of the cobra(s).Did one of the handlers swing a snake around?If so then yes i have been there.
