I didnt mean you should shoot it at F/4....just saying at F/4 you would be suprised how much DOF and what your hyperfocal distance truly is....and with that in mind, at f/8 or f/11 you shouldnt have anything to worry about. As you can see I shot this at f/9

the widest lense I have is my 17-55mm......seems most of the time f/8 or f/11 is the better result.

Seel that little rock out in front right next to the edge of the pool. That was my focal point. I use Live View, and can check focus throught the frame Super wides have a ridiculous hyperfocal distance even at f/4 so you can focus just about 4-6 feet from the camera and assume that most will be in focus. Just zoom into live view and dbl check and your golden.

Roman, Scott here from the PDX area.....
where do you focus in your shots......do you use infinity on manual focus or try the Hyper focal......I can seem to get alot of shots as clear as yours for distance....especially long distance shots.....
