Jean-Luc ... when I used to attend Mass in the Cathedral of Notre Dame back in the mid-1960's, there were always lepers begging on the steps as you went in and out of the church. A terrible thing to see. There was a leper colony not far out of town and many of the US nurses used to volunteer to spend their off-duty time out there.
