Just like the pitchers in the previous page sticky leaves have evolved in a variety of non related plant families. They however all work the same.
Sticky fluid that sometimes even spread a atractive scent is produced at the tips of glandular hairs that cover most parts of the plants (mainly the leaves)
Insects that are atracted to this luxurious meal, land on these glands and are stuck immediately.
The more they struggle to escape the more they get stuck.
In most cases the plant produces enzymes to digest the insect but in some cases bacteria or tiny bugs take over this task.
