Satyrium is a genus of mostly African terrestrial orchids that got their name because the two horn like spurs on each flower are similar to the horns of a Satyr.
Satyrium are generally easy to grow in a very well draining (sandy) substrate that is only moist when the leaves are green. They require a lot of light and fresh air to prevent rotting.
