Few native plants make it to become a genuine tourist attraction but the carnivorous Nepenthes pervillei has become just that thing making even the laziest beach dwelling tourist make it up the mountains. Botanically seen its also a true gem. Nut because of its insect eating habit as there are quiet a few plants that do that but because it is one of the very few Nepenthes species that occur in Africa and belongs to the most primitive of all Nepenthes species.
