Whole plant covered with many hairs. No runners, Flowers (pale) blue. Always on calcareous soils. (Viola hirta)

This plant is because of it's hairy foliage easy to recognise, even when not in flower.
It grows in open woodlands but also in the sunny coastal dunes as long as the soil is calcareous.

The plant makes no runners but instead form small dense clumps over time
