Leaving Monument valley, we spent several hours in Mesa Verde National Park. There were accessible trails at the top of the mesas that provided views of most of the major cliff dwellings. We really enjoyed the time in the park. Our destination was Durango, CO where we had tickets to ride the narrow-gauge railroad to Silverton. However, their “ADA lift” was not working, and from the looks of it I doubt that it had worked for several years. We spent the time walking around Durango which has become quite the tourist attraction itself.
