The Tornado F.3 only rather briefly was RAF's major air defence asset. ZE160, here coded 'BY' and a F.3T twin stick, was operated by 29 squadron at the time (April 1992), but was scrapped at RAF Leeming only 12 years later. It is seen here during an exchange with 314 sqdn at Gilze-Rijen. Note the typical black tail as a result of the use of the noisy thrust reverser.
