Until the late-1980's, the Bell UH-1H was the US Army workhorse in Europe and the States. Until the arrival of the UH-60, the 'Huey' (with its typical sound) equipped most Army regiments, such as the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment, which was based at Fulda until 1972 (arriving from a long deployment in Vietnam) and 1994, when it went to its current location, Fort Irwin (CA).
Bell UH-1H 70-15746 (marked O-15746, with "O" fold 'Old', indicating that '15746' has been used again on a newer airframe) is seen parked at Keiheuvel, a small grass strip in Belgium, in August 1987. After USAr- service, 15746 received a civil registration, last noted 1995. Fate unknown.
