Ready for take-off from Akihisar's runway is F-104G 7017/9-017 of 191Filo. 7017, a former Luftwaffe example, is seen after a base-recode, wearing the nice SEA c/s adopted by the Turkish air force in the last few years of active service for the Starfighter. This 1962-built F-104 was retired on 27 January 1994. 7017 now is preserved at Merzifon, coded '5-017'.
