103PL MSW was part of the Interior Ministry and its hardware operated from Warszawa-Bemowo. 1981- built Mil Mi-2 6624 is pictured during a 'hit and run' visit to the airfield, since photographers were not welcome. I spent a few hours in 1994 here with two guns pointed at me, so I knew the drill. This weathered Hoplite was one of a bunch Mi-2/8/17's active in the late-1990's. 6624 went to the Polish Border Guard (Straz Graniczna) as PL-04XG. In 2011, it was registered SP-VPA under civil ownership.
