Flying with 323 sqdn (Leeuwarden) at the time, hence the 'Frysian' fintip, but still wearing the weathered badge of Volkel's 311 sqdn, F-16B J-657 (FMS 80-3657) made an emergency landing on Gilze-Rijen in April 1991. Chute problems were the cause, resulting in the aircraft being parked on the taxyway for further investigation. This Falcons now flies with the Fuerza Aerea de Chile.
