There were some hopes this MiG-21 would be saved from the scrapman, but unfortunately MiG-21SPS-K 22+02 (ex-441 of JG-1/Holzdorf, see previous picture) couldn't escape that fate, despite its 'Weisser Hai' c/s.
Pictured here at Drewitz storage, shortly after arrival, this Fishbed-F entered service in 1968 and was scrapped in 1992. The use of the German cross indicates it was still limited active after the re-unfication of October 1990.
