super gallery. i knew i recognized your name from somewhere :)
You used to post to Bytephoto? or was it Phototalk?
Your photos are breathtaking! A pair of these beautiful birds come to one of our neighborhood ponds every spring. The female is very plain. They stay for a couple of months and then leave. I live in Sugar Land, Texas just southwest of Houston; I have the feeling that these birds strayed away from their flock. With a 300mm zoom I've taken some pictures of them but not as spectacular as yours.
Thanks for sharing your collection
Your Spoonbill Gallery is my inspiration.....hope to have one as nice as yours someday!
I saw the Roseate Spoonbills in Los Llanos in Venezuela, January 2006--they are so beautiful and they were in and around the river where the Scarlet Ibis was also seen at the same time. Double the pleasure! Ann Klemstine
Great gallery. I especially like the landings.
Impressive gallery of such rare birds! Congratulations Rod.
Super photo's Rod
Nice work and great eye, keep up the good work
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL Gallery!!!
Wow! Nice job capturing these beautiful birds.
Stunning!! I have been shooting at the night heron for a while and never get all these different angle landing shots. Only spending day and night is never enough, but also with talent and the right gidgets. Any tips for the bird shooting?! Your work surely inpires me!! Keep it up!!
I often go to Florida to photograph birds, especially in flight. However, your Spoonbills beat mine by a mile. If your name was A. Morris, you could sell these images to all magazines. But the good thing is that you have no less talent!
Actually, you convinced me to buy 20D. I have EOS3 and the same lens as you do, but digital is a way to go for me. Your photography inspired me!! Your spoonbills are the best I have ever seen in my life! Thank you Rod.

Outstand Rod. These have to be my favorite photo's..... Working hard to be on top like you... Ya right maybe in another life right!!!
Terrific photos, especially the flight and landing shots.
I'm envious! I'm not coming to Florida until the end of April.
Wish they were still there.

Nick, Thank you. These are in Florida at the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge. They are usually around in the winter time. Cheers, Rod
The flight shots are awesome! Are these photos from Florida? I've heard of a place in Louisiana that is good for spoonbills. I noticed some are winter pictures. Are they there year-round?
Wonderful images !
I am planning a trip to Merrit Island in February 2005.
Are the spoonbils usually there in Feb.?
Outstanding gallery! Feel proud of these!
wow, what a lovely set of pictures.
beutiful photo, incredible colors.
Beautiful Birds.... Great Captures
The shots of the Spoonbills in flight are just magnificent. I had no idea how graceful a bird they are.
(Graceful, Encarta dictionary: showing elegance, beauty, and smoothness of form or movement) Sort of sums it up.
beautiful captures of a very nice bird!!!
