Rod, I was at Elmendorf AFB from August 1954 to August 1956. On Memorial Day weekend one of those years, two buddies and I camped near Homer. If there were eagles there, we didn't know it. I've always wanted to go back to Alaska but probably will never make it. Thanks for the great pictures. Maurie
P.S. Portage Glacier was visable from the highway in 1954. Is it still?

wow---I will be in Homer in July. I will go down to the spit and see the eagles. We lived there and my hubby was one of the two policeman back in '69. I did a B & B one summer and it was awesome. Your pictures are great and I can't wait to get there and see them in person. Homer is my favorite place

Anyone can take a picture and have it developed, but Rod you capture "forever images": images that stay forever in our minds and hearts. You can see your kind, compassionate heart in each photo.
