Hermit Warbler
Hermit Warbler
Last Hermit Warbler picture (for a bit).
Madrone in flower on the trail up to the peak.
I'm told this is a large Western Fence Lizard. It was about 12 inches from nose to tail.
This is a Rock Wren. Honest Guv. Another focusing problem. Note the lichen which grows on "nitrogenous deposits".
Wildflowers
Looking down the hillside on the other side of the peak.
The rocks where several Rock Wrens were interacting.
Back at the picnic spot the Hermit Warbler was still there.
This Garter snake attempted to hurl itself under Ken's Jeep.
It lived to slither another day.
