Kefallonia

Kefallonia is one of the Greek Ionian islands. It has become known by the book and film "Captain Corelli's mandolin". The island is green, quiet and relatively "unspoilt" by tourism. There was a devastating earthquake in 1953 which destroyed 80% of all the houses and wiped out the capital Argostoli completey but it is rebuild. The signs are still visible in many places.

Beautiful collection of diverse images. Wonderful job with the landscapes, in particular, ensuring detail in the skies isn't blown out. I think this is a great tribute to the island giving us a sense of it has to offer architecturally and naturally. Well done.
