Richard III

Visit to Leicester on March 22 2015 to see Richard III's body lying in state. Richard III was killed at Bosworth field on August 22 1485. His body was buried in Greyfriars. An archaelogical dig took place in 2012 in a council car park on the site of Greyfriars. The remains were found and using DNA the remains were identified as Richard III's on 4 February 2013. A legal wrangle ensued for the next 2 years before Richard was finally buried in Leicester Cathedral.
Gallery upgraded in July 2016 during a 2 day stay in Leicester where I visited the excellent Bosworth Field Visitor Centre.

On March 22 Leicester seemed doomed. They then escaped relegation and in 2017 won the premier league. Spooky or what?
