Working in Finland in 2003

Near the end of my career I spent 3 months working in Turku in Finland. When I started in mid February it was the coldest weather I have ever experienced. The streets were covered in ice and so was the river which ran through Turku. Locals went on a Sunday walk by going along the middle of the river and so did I. When I left in mid May spring was just arriving.
