Re your Sigma 18-125mm F3.5-5.6 DC IF ASP.
How is the lens if used with flash?
I am thinking of adding the lens but mainly for use with a Sigma flash.

It's hard to put an adjective (or even several) to accurate depict your pictures. So I will just say what others have said. Good stuff!

Hi Bob, thanks for your kind comments. Central Park in the middle of Manhattan is truly an amazing place where appx 200 bird species can be seen during the year. There are always plenty of birders around so news of a rarity spreads very quickly.

i love how your galleries are presented.
your photos are wonderful.
Manny30-Aug-2005 18:48
Hi Bob nice gallery and some very interesting shots, I like your message you have on your profile, you quoted "My ambition is to search the planet and find somewhere where there isn't a McDonalds" I hear what you are saying one of my ambitions is to be in a remote place with not a sound from anything man made just the sound of nature, so far the closest I have been to this is probably in the middle of Thetford forest on a early sunday morning, I sat there for about an hour enjoying the bliss of nature without no disturbances, a memeory I will cherish until I find the right spot again, once again great gallery and it shows you are quite home with nature.

Cheers Pete

Hi Bob

Thank you very much for leaving a message in my gallery and your kind comments. ANd thank you for your inspiring message in response to my message in the Question and Answer forum. I was just a bit of a downer the other day. Of course you are right. I am now begining to shoot locally. Just to clarify, I do not live in Cornwall. I actually live in Cheltenham. Of course the Cotswold is still a beautiful place. Thank you for sharing and I have also left several comments on your galleries. Love your work especially the Favourite gallery. I have also been very much entertained by your hosting the bear, Frimpong. Great stuff!

Best wishes

Hello Bob,
You have some very nice work here. The "Norwich, A Fine City" gallery is the one I like best.
Thanks for commenting on my Eastern Sierra Gallery.
Craig Gillette20-May-2005 14:51
Interesting juxtaposition, Norwich and Thailand! Two places I haven't gotten! Europe and Thailand although I did get to Singapore and several other places in the area with Uncle Sugar's Yacht Club. It is getting harder to avoid McDonalds but then we all seem to have a taste for the "exotic," it's just that it's a little hard to think of McDonalds as exotic. I've been chasing and shooting the trains for a while and they aren't as difficult to capture as some of the "wildlife."
Guest 19-May-2005 20:02
Thank you, for your comment regarding the apricot blossoms in one of my galleries. I also appreciate the opportunity it gave me to come and visit your lovely galleries as well. :-)
Gul Chotrani27-Apr-2005 06:12
Thanks for the Elm Hill pic - may I have your permission to post the same pic in my Personal gallery @pbase? - acknowledgement will be made to you also.

Gul Chotrani27-Apr-2005 02:50
Hello Bob.....

small world innit...? I lived and did post-grad work at UEA in 1985. In fact I lived in the UK (Lancashire, Yorkshore, London) for almost 10 years. Seeing Norwich again brings back old memories.

Thanks for visiting my galleries - I've been revamping them, and putting up new pics for the past few weeks that I've lapsed in some places regarding their name tags. They've now been updated. Still have a few hundred images to go - we're talking about a 1 year backlong!!.

Regards, Gul
