This has to be one of the most sublime bird shots of all time, it's almosts surreal in its detail: the crook in the neck shows a recent catch, the legs are perfect drumsticks, the wing could be attached to an angel, and the rapier beak sends shivers along my spine. Just think of the little frogs, turtles and fish that have been speared by this relative of the dinosaur. Velociraptors, eat your hearts out, this guy can fly! Wondrous action, stop-action and mood!
