I was at Morro Rock a few years ago. That is one huge hunk of former lava. I have been watching "P" birds in Cleveland Ohio for 17 years now and I have to say your photos show just how many hours you spend at the nest site. Add the Fog rolling in and man you spnd a huge chunk of time on a rock that size and I know you log the hour.

Your pictures are awesome. I work on the 5th floor of a hospital that has a nest box. A Peregrine named Aaron claimed it 2 years ago, attracted a mate and reared 4 chicks here, for the first time ever. To cameras were mounted in the box & patched into the hospital's cable. I taped hours and hours of activity, including 1 egg being laid, 2 eggs actually hatching, and the day to day activity. I condensed the highlights and compiled a story of the event for my family and friends. During the past 2 years Aaron and Maggie (his mate) have visited our treatment room window ledges, and Aaron spends his nights on a window ledge right outside of our office. I have visited him, talked to him and took pictures of both falcons over the past 2 years. I grew so fond of him that I feel like a grandma to his chicks. I watched them being banded and took pictures of them. Thank you for sharing your wonderful pictures! I can't imagine how you managed to get such splended shots! I am so impressed with the photos of the peregrine falcon. Beautiful-majestic bird. I'm glad that it has made a comeback and I hope the peregrine falcon population continues growing. The WWII story of the allies messenger pigeons vs the nazi peregrines is interesting in case you weren't aware of that page in WWII history. Michael
