The Granites

This is the view from the top of the 'Granites Road', looking toward Edinburgh and the Pentland Hills.

The Granites is the name the locals use to describe the B7007, which runs between Innerleithen and Edinburgh. It is an ancient route via the Leithen Valley and its users included Kings and Nobles, who travelled between Edinburgh and Traquair House (the oldest inhabited house in Scotland).
