I use one Hoya 8x ND filter with a Hoya R72 on the Sony 717. I cover the IR emitters with a donut shaped piece I cut from the material inside a floppy disk. Someone posted the idea on the dpreview STF forum and it works great. Always use a tripod for your IR shots. Thanks for your comments!

how many nd filters do you use?
i use a dsc-f717 but get very washed out images in daylight
