Bangkok ...known in Thai as Krung Thep (กรุงเทพฯ), is the capital and largest city of Thailand, with an official population close to 7 million (the actual population is estimated to be 15 million which includes a large proportion of commuters from the surrounding areas) and is on of the most densely populated in the world. Bangkok sits on the east bank of the Chao Phraya River, near the Gulf of Thailand. Krung Thep has been the proper name of the city for more than two centuries, although most foreigners still refer to it by it's original name.

These photos were taken from three seperate visits in April'04, December'06 and March'08 whilst visiting my family. It's a busy city with a great night life around every corner... and it's one of the best places in the world to go shopping ;-)
