Dreamcars Asia Motorshow was held at the Singapore Expo June 24-27, 2004. It featured exhibitors from Japan, Australia, Malaysia & Singapore. Many thanks to the Car Models who put up with all the requests for photos. The stars of the show were the Japanese 'Race Queens' especially Shiho Asaoka who delighted the crowd with the most amazing poses.

Photography is my hobby and my equipment is only an ordinary compact digital camera. I'd like to improve my skills to earn extra money. I still need some coaching & more practice. Comments (good or bad but hopefully good), tips & suggestions from professional photographers, amateurs, & guests are very much appreciated. Shooting wide-open helps to make the background less cluttered & confusing. Who do you want the viewer to focus on, the lady in the foreground, the car she's leaning on or everything that's in the photo?

The comment about ISO400 is NOT about noise. It's about underexposing the unwanted as much as possible to reduce the clutter!

Your photos are "too well-exposed" with too much DOF. For example, I can identify all the photographers in pic 30776099. If that's your intention, I rest my case.

Sorry, I never shoot the lens wide-open if I can avoid it. ISO400 is very clean and noise free using a Canon 20D.

Everyone know it's difficult to photograph at events like this, with the confusing/cluttered background. So for goodness sake, please open all the way to f1.4 and use the flash at its minimum power output setting so that the background is both out of focus and underexposed! An ISO setting of 400 is another no-no......

WOW!! All of them...excellent shots!! Shiho Asaoka is very animated...even in JGTC Sepang. I missed both Dreamcars Event in KL and S'pore and THANK YOU for sharing your pics for us unfortunate ones...TQ!

The photos are great, Robert - thank you so much! I am a big fan of Shiho Asaoka, so the pics of her are very welcome; and I love the Pagani - what a car! AND you even got a few pics of Aussie race queens / car girls, so I'm even happy there (being an Aussie). Great set in every way, so thank you again!!!
