Pulau Bintan, Indonesia

Bintan lsland (Sumatra) is the largest of 3,200 islands in the Riau Archipelago and the 3rd largest of 27 provinces in Indonesia. Bintan is very close to the equator (Latitude 01.00N Longitude 104.00E) and has a
tropical climate throughout the year. Bintan is accessible via a one hour ride on a high speed catamaran from Singapore's Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal. In the northern section of Bintan Island is Bintan Resorts,
a 23,000 hectare development which was jointly developed by the Singaporean and Indonesian governments. It has 18 kilometres of pristine white beaches and azure waters, nature trails, and golf courses.

I took these photos using a Canon EOS 20D and a Canon EF 17-40mm lens. For most of the outdoor shots, I mounted a Hoya 77mm Circular Polarizer on the lens.
