Wild Places

The main attraction here is the woodland walkway,
which is positioned above enclosures containing the original four large British predators
living here after the last ice age:
- Wolverine
- Lynx
- Brown Bear
- Wolf

These have all since been eliminated from our shores.
The wolverine and lynx were particularly difficult to spot,
when concealed in the vegetation, but that's the way it is on a safari!

The Gelada (vegetarian) baboons were also well displayed....
but as with many zoos, some of the exhibits were behind wire mesh
that made photography difficult
