We spent 12 days at the Reni Pani Jungle Lodge in February and went on 16 safaris.

Photography was quite difficult due to the subdued lighting in the forest
and also the trees, bushes and tall grasses, which helped conceal the wildlife and made focussing on the animals hard...
video clips gave a much better view.

Sightings included:
- Two leopards (maybe the same one twice?)
- Six wild dogs attacking a Gaur mother with calf (gruesome!....see separate gallery)
- Eight adult sloth bears, inclding a mother with two cubs riding on her back
- Two giant Indian/Malabar squirrels (the park's logo species)
- One glimpse of a tiger in the bushes (for about 10 seconds)

The two night safaris were a bit disappointing...
they are, apparently, better during the summertime.
