Pompeii

These pix come from two half day trips.
Pompeii is vast and really requires several full days to see properly.
Some of the exhibits were on exhibition at the British Museum,
although I'm not sure whether they had been taken from display in Pompeii
or from Naples museum(?). I have enhanced the contrast and saturation on most of the murals,
which hopefully give a better appearance of what they origianlly looked like (?)

Needless to say, the Lupanare (brothel house) was very crowded
and visitors had to file through a few at a time, which made stopping or turning back
to compose pix rather difficult.
Flash was not allowed.
I didn't see any really "fruity" murals there...
they may have been removed to the museum in Naples
or I may simply have missed them (?).
