This gallery is a combination of three trips to North and North West Scotland in May, June and September.

Generally the weather was very overcast and often very drizzly (so, what's new?).
There were, however, a few sunny days, especially in Orkney and Aberdeen.
...but at least the cool wet conditions kept the midges to a minimum.

Other odd bits including Inverness and even a glimpse of Glasgow, where we started, although that's not really in the North of Scotland!

Update: I have now added a new, nested Hebrides gallery, relating to a September trip,
which includes Skye, Lewis/Harris, the Uists and a glimpse of Edinburgh, where we started and finished.
