We were based at a National Trust property (which is available to rent) : Silverthwaite, ...
which is at Skelwith, near both Elterwater (17th largest lake)
and Loughrigg Tarn (15th largest)...as well as being within striking distance of
Windermere, the largest lake.
The weather was variable...some days overcast and drizzly, with others being sunny.
