Etna & Taormina

The trip to Etna stops about half way up the southern slopes,
near to the two extinct Silvestri craters.
From there, it costs another 60 euros to continue to the crater (by cable car and off-road vehicle)...
and only then when Etna is not erupting!
The day I went, it was quite cloudy and (apparently) only 5 degrees Celsius at the top,
so I declined to continue higher.

We stopped at Zafferana for a morning coffee break and later at Taormina for an afternoon tour.
