This is the results of a trip to Pico island
Three days of whale watching on a small Zodiac...
and a couple of day trips by minibus around Pico island.
We saw about 20 Sperm whales, six Sei whales
along with one pod of False Killer whales,
plus several pods of Spotted, Striped, bottlenosed, and Risso's dolphin..
We saw a few Loggerhead turtles...and thousands of Portuguese Men o'War
On one day we came across a "Bait Ball" of fish being corralled by spotted dolphins...
and with hundreds of Cory's Shearwaters picking off the fishh nearest the surface...
The weather was generally sunny and warm, with some heavy rain overnight...
Volcano, Mount Pico generated its own clouds and rain...which could be picturesque...
as long as we weren't caught in the downpours...
