We only had a cloudy afternoon in Ankara.
The Ataturk mausoleum is impressive and is based on the King Mausolus Mausoleum at Halicarnassus (Bodrum).
There is also a very comprehensive museum detailing Ataturk's life there,
although photography was only allowed in some of the galleries and it was very crowded.
We also visited the Museum of Anatolian Civilisations, which was well worth a visit.
