Whow... shugar. And the wreckage is still visible. This is quite a memorial. You must have wandered off quite far off the beaten track to come across this memorial. 64, now 65... and it reminds us in a way as if it only happened yesterday. A striking tribute to an unusual monument...

A beautiful scene made sombre by this evidence of tragedy. You have captured it well. It reminds me of a similar crash site I knew years ago on Kinder Scout in the Pennine Hills that moved me greatly when I happened upon it by chance while moor-walking.
It is very hard to say this is a beautiful image. And, perhaps Marita has it correct - strong. The composition is great and it is powerful and well shot.--Rene
