This has more focus on the curve and shadow, but not sure if it invites the viewer to wonder what is around the corner.

Losing the sky make for a better image. For me this now works well and caught my eye. The one before you cropped just did not work for me. V

Of the two I prefer this one with the path and fence filling the frame as it also makes us wonder where you are
