This is the middle exposure used in the HDR image.
It does look far more natural and I do like it even with the sloping horizon !
No sharpening either.
Constructive Feedback always welcome.

Definitely better than HDR version, no doubts. I agree with Pete , the small figure is a perfect choice to convey the feeling of immensity and depth. I could like it better with a straight horizon

The shadow emphasises the abyss well and the figure is well placed.
Not sure why you like the sloping horizon though!
