Instow river rope.jpg

The previous croped shot was taken from this full sized picture.
I still think cropping is an important tool not to be scoffed at.

Terrific shot, Robbie.
I love the light and low angle.
So much to enjoy here. (V)

I don’t know...it’s difficult to say and I have liked so much the cropped version, but also this one has a strong visual impact, probably because of the details in foreground on the left, rather than for the boat in background,
But both versions are excellent, moody and rich of melancholy elegance and interesting elements.
I really like your photography.

I like both shots. This one is powerful in its own right as the ironwork looks like a cross. Fantastic lighting again, sir! The sky is awesome as well. Just goes to show you can get a whole different look with cropping or not. ;)

Nice light on the sand...and a good contrast to that heavy looking sky

A fine composition, Rob, and from the thumb I thought it might be a remembrance memorial, but your fine image has revealed another story...

I'm not scoffing, I agree you can often find more that one finished product with the crop tool.
