Hi Michael, I sent you a PM. The main reason for this was used the 300mm f2.8 with the 2x extender giving me the 600mm, so f8 is shallow vs. my 600mm at f8 which would have gave me better detail. I did not bring the 600mm with me, all I had was this combo, which I like a lt but it has limits.
