Hummingbirds are the smallest birds in the world; their wings beat 60 times a second and they reach an average speed of 45 miles per hour in the air!!! (NOT easy to photograph). Interesting fact: In proportion to their overall size, they have both the largest brain and heart of any animal. Hummingbirds are found only in North, Central, and South America. There are 330 known species.
